What are the different types of bathroom sinks?

Whether you’re designing a cozy powder room or a shared space to keep up with the morning rush, the right bathroom sink can make all the difference. We offer a variety of single and double bathroom sinks to match your space, along with coordinating water traps and bathroom faucets.

Drop-in sinks

A classic for a reason. Drop-in bathroom sinks (also called self-rimming sinks) fit neatly on top of your bathroom vanity like a lid. Installation is simple, and the vanity beneath adds extra durability. Drop-in sinks give you plenty of counter space for a soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, skincare or other everyday essentials.

Wall-mounted sinks

Short on space? Wall-mounted bathroom sinks keep things light and open. With exposed piping and no cabinet below, they’re a go-to for smaller bathrooms and industrial-inspired looks. Still need a place for towels and toiletries? Pair wall-mounted options with sink base cabinets or a nearby bathroom shelving unit to keep everything within reach.

Countertop sinks

Countertop bathroom sinks (sometimes called vessel sinks) are designed to stand out. They sit above your bathroom counter like a bowl for a bold, spa-like feel at home. Keep in mind: their added height can make them a stretch for little ones to reach.

What is a water trap for a bathroom sink?

Sink water traps aren’t the most glamorous part of your bathroom remodel, but they’re one of the most important.

Often referred to as a P-trap (because of their shape), these curved pipes under your bathroom sink hold a small amount of water to block sewer odors and gases.

Water traps can also help catch small items (like rings or earrings) before they vanish down the drain for good.
