What outdoor dining table set should you choose?

At IKEA, you'll find outdoor dining sets from small two-seaters to larger tables that can seat up to eight people. When looking for the right patio dining set, ask yourself: how much space do I have, and how much seating do I need? Will you host dinners and parties? If so, will it be often enough that you need to be able to easily add seats? 

Several of our patio dining sets include drop-leaf tables, where a two-seater can easily transform into enough space for four. Or choose a patio set for six that can quickly be arranged to a table for eight with a few foldable or stackable chairs.

When choosing an outdoor dining table set, consider how it complements the rest of your outdoor area. You could match the color of the table or chairs with other parts of your space. It could be the shutters on your house, outdoor rugs or other decorative accessories. This can help create a coordinated look for your outdoor oasis. 

Patio dining sets that fit with accessories 

Will you use the dining set during the hottest hours of the day? Several of our patio dining sets come with an umbrella hole. If you choose a table with no hole, you can find patio umbrellas that can be placed right next to the dining set. 

Are you looking forward to late night dinners with family and friends? With some outdoor cushions you can sit comfortably for hours. Some of our sets already include cushions. But if you're creative and want to mix and match on your own, you can create a vibe that’s unique to you.
