SturdyRobertI think the reviews saying this isn’t sturdy may not be tightening things enough. I just built mine and at 220lbs I can say this thing feels sturdy. Make sure every bolt is tight and you’ll be fine!5
Same fading/peeling issuePeterI had the same peeling/fading issue as mentioned. Our table was covered all winter with a solid, ventilated aftermarket cover. Despite that the wood is very faded and the sealant is all peeled off of the table top portion. I now will have to stain this table to make sure it doesn't fall apart within another year. Ikea should send me, and anyone like me free wood stain to do the job. Its not that expensive, but it's the principle. I've always liked Ikea stuff, but was wary of getting something outdoor from them. Seems my instinct proved correct. 3
Awesome LeeLove the table. Sturdy, and fits well. 5
Doesn’t lastAnonymous reviewerI bought this at late last summer. I had a custom cover from someone else made for it since I live in an area that has snow and IKEA doesn’t offer a cover. The cover wasn’t great (even though it was equal to 1/2 the cost of the table) and moisture seeped in. Still, better than leaving it exposed. Even with that, when I took the cover off, all of the seal was peeled and discolored. As others have mentioned, this already felt a little flimsy, but picnic tables do. I’m disappointed in the quality it offered for an outdoor piece. 2
Good, not greatPeterI second the notion of it "feeling cheap" when you sit on it. Which, isn't what I expect from Ikea. While I haven't had an issue yet, I worry this thing won't last too long. I do really like the design though. Unlike most picnic tables, there's no crossing boards underneath so you have plenty of leg room across the whole table. It went together well, pieces fit like they should, and everything is level with minimal fussing. Overall not too bad. 4
Flimsy for the priceMichaelSat on the bench right after assembly and it felt cheap. Umbrella fell over a few days after assembly and destroyed the top. My old picnic table with quality wood didnt have an issue for 5 years. 1

Saw this picnic bench in store and was surprised how solid it is. We now have it at home and it looks great in the garden, is very solid and has plenty of space. Time will tell how it lasts.
