Shopping for home accessories is on the ‘lighter side’ of home decoration adventures. While some practical considerations should be made, it should first and foremost be fun!

When shopping for bigger ticket items like furniture, practicality often has to come first. Taking a sofa, for example, we have to be sure it fits our budget and our living room—and has enough seats for the whole family. It’s a purchase we don’t make often, so we have to be sure to get it just right.

Not only is house decor typically much less expensive than furniture, it also experiences less wear and tear. While a side table might have a drinking glass picked up and put down on its top twenty times a day, items like picture frames, clocks and candle holders rarely need adjusting.
