Classic old favorite that could be betterLohI've always liked the simple design of the Billy bookshelves however due to the less than sturdy materials used the shelve boards will sag in due time under the weight of the books and the backboard will warp and pop out of the joints. I wished that Ikea would sell accessories to help reinforce the shelves such as pre-cut boards to reinforce the shelves by distributing the weights and planks to steady the back boards. These would definitely help to extend the life and utility of the shelves.

disappointedEleanorcorrectly assembled but this bookcase is extremely unstable (very shaky). the joints are all loose.
The backing ends up bendingAlfonsoThe backing ends up bending backwards and falling.
The shelfs also bend if many books are placed, and even the whole structure shifts sideways.
