Making space for something new? Let us take care of the old.
Add our Furniture Removal Service when you purchase new furniture with delivery service from our IKEA store. We’ll collect your old furniture and make sure it is recycled or disposed of responsibly in an eco-friendly way.
How does it work?
- The service is available to our IKEA store customers for $50 per piece, with a maximum of 5 pieces per customer.
- The service is available when you purchase a new furniture with delivery.
- Collection is subject to available time slots and is available daily, including weekends, for landed properties. Collection slots are:
- 3pm–5pm: Available for all residential properties, including condominiums.
- 5pm–8pm: Available for non-condominium properties only.
- Your new IKEA furniture and old furniture may be delivered or collected by different trucks and at different times.
- All items must meet our collection and safety requirements and must be easy to remove through the main entrance without specialised equipment.
Furniture we can collect
We can collect a range of standalone, movable furniture, including:
- Sofas and beds
- Mattresses
- Wardrobes
- Dining tables
- Chairs
- Armchairs
- Children's furniture
- Bookcases, cabinets and sideboards
- Coffee tables and side tables
- And more
Additionally, certain items are not applicable for collection. This includes a built-in TV cabinet, a built-in wardrobe, a kitchen cabinet, electrical appliances, office filing compactors, commercial office partition tables, prayer altar furniture, a stone outdoor furniture set, bar tables, pool tables and renovation debris.
Other ways to dispose of bulky furniture
If our removal service isn't right for you, there are other options available.
HDB residents: You may contact your HDB Town Council about bulky-item disposal. Free disposal of up to 2–3 bulky items per month may be available. Bookings can generally be made 3 working days in advance, with a maximum of 3 items per appointment. Please check with your Town Council for the latest arrangements.
Condominium residents: Collection of bulky items usually requires advance notice and may be subject to lift protection and specific collection hours. Please contact your condominium management for more information.
