Removal service

• The Furniture Removal Service costs  $50 per item (standalone, movable and not fixed to the wall), with a maximum of 5 items per transaction, regardless of brand. 
• The service is available when you purchase an eligible IKEA furniture item with delivery service. 
• The service is available to residential customers only. For business and corporate customers, please reach out to our IKEA Business Sales Team via email sg.ikeabusiness@ikano.asia for assistance. 
• Once collected, the furniture becomes the property of IKEA and cannot be returned or refunded. 

• Please provide the approximate size and photos of your furniture during booking of service so we can confirm that it is suitable for collection. 
• Items must be dry, structurally sound, safe to handle and free from pests, mould, strong odours or contamination. IKEA reserves the right to refuse collection if an item is unsuitable or unsafe in compliance with our hygienic and safety standard. 
• Furniture for removal must not require heavy hacking and should be easy to dismantle and remove safely. 
• You are responsible for ensuring clear and safe access through doors, corridors, lifts and stairways. Any required permission from your building or residence management must be obtained before collection. 
• To keep things safe and smooth, our service provider may not be able to collect your furniture if it doesn’t meet our collection requirements, based on the photos provided or the assessment on-site. 

• We accept spring, latex, foam and hybrid mattresses from any brand. 
• Mattresses must be one complete piece, dry, intact and free from pests or contamination. 
• The mattress must be no longer than 200 cm and flexible enough to bend where necessary for safe removal. 

• Our delivery partners will carry out a risk assessment on-site before removing your furniture. 
• For everyone’s safety, we may not be able to collect an item if it’s not safe to handle or transport. 
• Collection may not be possible where there is no lift or safe stairway access, particularly in buildings with unusual layouts or access arrangements. 
• In the event of a pandemic or other emergency, IKEA may temporarily suspend the service for health and safety reasons. 

• Collection is available daily between 3pm–5pm and 5pm–8pm and are subject to availability. 
• Please arrange any necessary permission with your residence or building management before the collection date. 
• If our delivery partners are unable to access your residence because the required permission has not been obtained, a rescheduling charge may apply for a second trip.
• A $20 nett no-lift access charge applies for collections from 3rd up to 5th floor. For everyone’s safety, we may not be able to collect an item if it’s not safe to handle or transport. 
• Your IKEA delivery and old furniture collection may take place separately. 

Need to make a change? 

• For cancellations or assistance, contact our Customer Care Centre or speak to one of our sales co-workers in-store. 
• To change your collection date and time, please let us know at least 48 hours before your original collection date. 
• Rescheduling charges may apply when changes are made less than 48 hours before collection.
