How to make your bedroom ready for winter

When it gets cold and dark outdoors, it’s high time to make it extra warm and cosy inside! These easy and affordable ideas will make your bedroom ready to embrace both you and the season.

Pile up in comfort

Bring out the darker colours and softer materials, since they are a great start to get the bed warmed up for winter. When it’s done, the bed will automatically signal to all your senses that it will keep you warm and safe from any chill.

Seriously warm bedding

Layer your bed with cotton flannel bedding in warm colors and add KEJSAROLVON pillow and mattress protectors to retain heat. With the beige side facing up, your bed feels warmer and softer—even on the coldest nights. Prefer a cooler feel? Just flip to the blue side.

Hard facts about a soft material

Our flannel textiles are made from 100% cotton, but with a special weave: a loose knit that creates insulating air pockets. The fabric is brushed for a softer and warmer feel.

Warmth from the bottom up

A small rug beside the bed ensures a soft, warm first step in the morning and invites you back to bed at night. For extra comfort, add a pair of cozy slippers.

Darker, warmer and softer

Since we sleep more in winter and rest better in the dark, turn your bedroom into a cozy retreat with blackout blinds and thick curtains to block drafts. If possible, add regular curtains for an even softer atmosphere.

Focus on the light in the dark

Last but certainly not least: Add a few candles. They come with a built-in greeting from old times, telling all our senses to slow down and relax.
