it does squeak constantlyAnonymous reviewerI bought this chair from the IKEA second-life section, which looked brand new. I am happily using it—it is aesthetic and functional. But my only problem is that it squeaks constantly. I put some WD40 here and there, and it worked for a couple of hours, but it started again. I don't know what to do to prevent noise. I am ready to disassemble the chair and give it proper oiling, etc., but I don't know where and how.3

A funcionalidade não justifica o preço, estou decepcionada (1/2)PatríciaJá escrevi anteriormente uma review. Hoje fazem algumas semanas que uso a cadeira praticamente todos os dias. Não é nada ergonômica. Por não ter um bom suporte nos braços, tenho pressão constante nos ombros e sinto dores neles e no pescoço ao fim do dia. Para que haja suporte nos braços, preciso me sentar jogada na cadeira e deixar de ter boa postura. Há suporte demais na lombar, o que torna desconfortável com o tempo, e absolutamente nenhum no meio e no topo das costas. Para uma cadeira que custa 300€ e uma marca conhecida pelo design, achei um absurdo uma qualidade tão má na ergonomia. Pretendo a devolver em breve, não há condições de usar para o trabalho.2

Os pontos negativos: Os braços não serem ajustáveis é impensável, principalmente por serem naturalmente baixos. Tenho 1,77m e sentada para trabalhar, reta, meus cotovelos nem encostam nos braços. Precisava-se de cm a mais, pelo menos. Estou considerando comprar parafusos mais longos e ajustar com molas e roscas para tentar subir os encostos dos braços. O encosto deveria subir mais 3-5cm para ser mesmo ideal. Talvez esta cadeira seja incrível para pessoas de 1.60m, mas para qualquer um um bocado acima da média Portuguesa, não acredito que suporte 8h de trabalho. As rodas que travam sem peso, em todas as cadeiras de escritório, são horríveis. Já vi tantas pessoas se queixando, não é possível que esse sistema ainda não tenha sido substituído. Pontos positivos: o encosto não requer muita força para ceder para trás, quando destrancado. As almofadas são confortáveis. É bonita.3

What are leathers, skins and hides?

Leathers, skins and hides are durable, hardwearing materials that we strive to produce as responsibly as possible. That’s why we only use by-products from the food industry and we have requirements for traceability to slaughterhouses, thereby ensuring ethically correct slaughters. The materials are then treated so that they’re usable for home decoration products. In this process we don’t allow the use of chrome, which is potentially harmful to both humans and the environment.

The challenge with ALEFJÄLL swivel chair was to combine retro style from the 1950s with the demands on function and comfort we have today. It is fully adjustable to your body, without looking technical, so it fits at home as well as in the office. I think chairs should look good from behind and I am particularly pleased with how the adjustable backrest integrates with the metal frame. ALEFJÄLL is comfortable, reliable and convivial – functional and stylish at the same time.
