Order failed or missing confirmation? What should you do next?

A failed order occurs in an online order, that doesn't complete successfully during checkout — with or without a payment deduction.

A failed order can occur at any stage of checkout — with or without a payment deduction. Here's a breakdown of common scenarios and how to handle each one.

1. When the Order Fails Before Payment Is Initiated

In some cases, the order attempt does not proceed to the payment stage — this usually happens due to browser or session issues.
What can you do:
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Close any additional checkout tabs
  • Retry placing the order using a fresh browser session
  • If possible, try using another browser or device

2. When the Order Fails During the Payment Process

Payment does not go through, or the order was unable to complete it.
What can you do:
  • Retry the payment
  • Ensure a stable internet connection during payment
  • If the amount was not debited, you can attempt the order again safely
  • If the amount was debited, proceed below.

3. Payment Completed but No Order Confirmation (No Order Number Generated)

Sometimes a technical issue may cause the payment to go through while the order itself is not created in the system. In such cases, you may not receive:
  • An order confirmation email
  • An order number
  • Any visible order in their account
What to check first — Kindly verify the below steps to proceed further:
  • Spam/Junk folder in their email.
  • Whether you received any confirmation SMS.
  • If the amount shows as debited or pending in their bank statement.
