What is the difference between an IKEA gift card, a refund card, and a voucher or discount code?

An IKEA gift card can be purchased, whereas a refund card is provided only as an alternative to a refund or when you use the IKEA second-hand marketplace. Vouchers or discount codes can be provided as part of an official IKEA campaign or activity and often have specific terms and conditions applied to them.

  • An IKEA gift card can be purchased. It can be used as a payment method for purchases at IKEA.
  • An IKEA refund card cannot be purchased and is only provided by IKEA as an alternative to a refund. It can be used as a payment method for purchases at IKEA.
  • A voucher or discount code cannot be purchased and is provided by IKEA during campaigns or activities. Usage and validity of a voucher or discount code is described in the terms and conditions for this specific campaign or activity.
Even though gift cards and refund cards are named differently, the way you use them to make purchases at IKEA and their respective terms and conditions are virtually identical.

Please refer to the relevant terms and conditions for any official IKEA voucher or discount code for more information on how to use them. You can always find these terms and conditions on IKEA.com, as long as the voucher or discount code is still valid.
