Smells after repeated useAnonymous reviewerI purchased one of these mats after moving to a new flat and then another to swap it out with when dirty. I thought it was perfect — it dries quickly and doesn’t get ratty looking after use and washing. But beware, after repeated laundering, it develops a truly awful smell that even made my cat recoil. I washed at 60 degrees, which may be hotter than instructed, but given the bacteria bath mats develop, washing on cool isn’t an option. Go for something cotton instead.

Basically like a towel, with no lining.Anonymous reviewerYes, the front side of the mat is soft and pleasant to the touch, but I was very surprised to find that the side touching the floor has no non‑slip mesh backing at all, unlike what is shown in the photos. It simply lies on the floor like a towel. I’m not sure whether this is a manufacturing defect or whether the backing was missing from my order, but in the end this is not what I wanted to buy and it does not meet my expectations.
