Use a cord set to easily adjust the length of the cord for your pendant lamp. When the lamp hangs at the perfect height, gather the remaining cord in the ceiling cup and then mount it tight to the ceiling.

Very niceAnonymous reviewerVery nice ceiling lampshade. It is quite big so beware the size of the room you put it in (needs high-ish ceiling). It fits wonderfully in our bedroom, looks modern while being inexpensive. It is very complicated to put up - most of the work must be done at height - definitely not one for the beginners (plan 1h with the right material/ladder)… this said, I am delighted with my purchase and would buy it again.
Great statement lightAnonymous reviewerBought 2 of these and they are a little fiddly to construct as you have to do so in situ but there are arrows on the wooden pieces to help you locate them and sit them in the right way. My only criticism is that Ikea should sell replacement paper shades for when in the future they need replacing.
Too complicated Anonymous reviewerAfter we finally were able to put this up, it looked huge and out of space. Not to mention that it is too complicated than it should be. It’s definitely not a simple ceiling pendant shade, and requires a lot of work. Will be taking it back.
