Poor construction and QCAnonymous reviewerGreat looking mirror with wall mounts with one VERY fatal flaw... The mounts aren't on parallel or perpendicular to the mirror. This is a somewhat problematic flaw on a wall mounted mirror (those things that people like to look at) so they might notice that when mounted it's out by around 8-10°. I eventually got a refund after three replacements so good on IKEA for acknowledging the problem at least. If you are inclined to buy it regardless you can refit the mounts yourself with the aid of a set square. 1

What is mirror glass?

Mirror glass comprises mostly of ordinary glass with a reflective coating in some kind of metal. In the past it was common for the coating to contain lead or mercury – but over time, both of these metals have been shown to be harmful to people and the environment. That’s why, as of several years ago, IKEA has a total ban on using lead or mercury in our mirrors and instead it is non-toxic silver or aluminium that reflects your mirror image.
