Create an extra seat or a single bed by pulling the armrest and folding it down.
Under the seat, you’ll find a practical storage space that keeps your items hidden but close at hand.
The foldable armrest can be placed on either the right or left side, allowing you to adapt the sofa to your space.
The fixed cover is made from Knisa dope-dyed fabric in polyester – a durable material with a soft feel.

Good enoughAnonymous reviewerNeeds an over arm wrestling cushion for comfort. A bit too firm for prolonged sitting. Not the most comfy bed when converted but good enough. - for this price the Ektorp sofa (not a sofa bed) is a league up for comfort. Final verdict if you cannot spare the space in front of the sofa and need a single sofabed to extend sideways and don't mind the firmness then this is it.
Worst fabric ever Anonymous reviewerI loved the practicality of this sofa but the fabric is the worst! Water alone will leave a stain impossibly to get rid of no matter how you try. The green colour is gorgeous but gets dirty so easily it’s really shocking IKEA would use such a fabric for a sofa. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It gets stained very easily and is not simple to clean, even with care. I wish the material was more practical for everyday use because the sofa itself looks lovely and fits perfectly in my home.

I hate itAnonymous reviewerMy other half purchased this whilst i was in hospital ,and i have lived with it for 3 weeks now and i just hate it, i cannot move it to vacuum the carpet it is like a lump of lead , unlike our tatty old sofa which would slide across the carpet ,this sofa won,t budge ,and it is too low to sit on because i have arthritis in my back and bum area, i just hate it.

Handsome sofabedAnonymous reviewerEasy to put together with 2 people this sofabed is good for sitting/ lounging on during the day and with back cushions removed is handy single bed, 1 slight issue is when arm is put down it would need a prop or something underneath, if u sit too near the end it folds down, i have put a piece of wood under it to stop this happening, only minor issue and very happy with it so far
Neat and stylishAnonymous reviewerA good looking 2 seater sofa-bed, that can convert into a 3 seater sofa, or a one person bed. A different and unique design. I am sleeping on mine every night, using an Ikea mattress topper, and it is quite comfortable, firm rather than too springy. Comfortable as a sofa as well, just the right depth for me, and I like the way the cushions fit exactly and don't move around. I managed to assemble on my own, it is light and easy to move around. Storage underneath for pillows and duvet. Please note that it converts into a single bed, even though it is a two seater sofa.
Absolutely in love with this sofa-bedAnonymous reviewerI was fairly concerned about assembling this sofabed as about 15 years ago, we had a hard time with one. BUT this is a child game. Sooo easy to put together, I couldn't belive it. Sooo simple yet effective.
The sofa material is brilliant and the sofa structure is well thought through. It's comfy and looks wonderful in our little room. Loving the colour too. We bought the dark grey. Highly recommend to anybody.

Perfect for a small spaceAnonymous reviewerGreat sofa for my small flat with the added bonus that it converts to a single bed. It's firm and comfortable and not too hefty and I love that it also had storage space. Very good value and easy to put together - took less time to put together (about 1 hours) than it took shopping and picking it up from the Ikea warehouse! Still very new so we'll see how it copes with extended use but for now it is brilliant.

“SKÖNABÄCK sofa-bed can be used as a cosy embracing sofa with storage under the seat and be turned into a bed at night. The most enjoyable part of designing it was developing a mechanism that allows the sofa to quickly transform into an open day-bed for a nap or more seating for guests. It's kind of like a magic trick, and it’s fun to see people’s reactions! My idea is that the sofa should always adapt to changing needs – and be good-looking at all times."
