25 year guarantee. Read about the terms in the guarantee brochure.

Laminate worktops are very durable and easy to maintain. With a little care, they stay like new for many years.

You can cut the worktop to the length you want and cover the edges with the 2 included edging strips.

The thicker worktop (3.8 cm) with rounded front edge works perfectly in a traditional style kitchen.

Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this worktop with a matching wall panel.

Reviews

Hard to keep cleanVerified ReviewerI have purchased the black marble effect laminate worktop a couple of weeks ago. Regretted buying it, as it is a nightmare to keep it clean and remove even the watermarks. Terrible surface material.2
GoodVerified ReviewerGood5
EKBACKEN ash effectVerified ReviewerI think the worktop wasn't laminate, as the surface is rough and definitely not easy to clean.2
Very pleasedVerified ReviewerI am very pleased with the work tops, they have made a tremendous difference to my kitchen. I finally found these that are light in colour and go with wood grain doors. They are completely sealed on all 4 edges and are wider than others, just enough to give a lip over the edge of draws and gives you room to adjust for uneven walls. Delivery was very reasonable and quick. I would definitely recommend5
Very good valueVerified ReviewerVery good value5
Amazing valueVerified ReviewerBought this for my utility room, and fitted it myself. It's round profile at the front and finished square profile at the back, so it's possible to use this for a square edge front by cutting the round profile off, which is what I did for a shelf. I cut it in 2 dimensions 1.5m for a main worktop run with sink, and also another metre for a shelf above to box in a tumble dryer. I had a bit of round offcut length left over that I managed to trim down and use an upstand behind the sink which looks really neat. Generally the worktop is solid, and I really like that it's properly sealed underneath. That's a high quality feature. I felt the seams at the ends weren't particularly well finished vs my existing kitchen worktop (which was 3-4x the price!), there was also surplus glue from manufacture on the main worktop surface that I had to spend time removing, but these things aside there is no denying this worktop is amazing value. Very happy with it.4

Unbeatable at the priceVerified ReviewerUnbeatable value in the UK market! Good quality and well packaged. Only minor issue that I had was that the edge was not perpendicular to the top on some - 88 degrees, rather than 90. Makes no difference in normal use, but need to be aware of this if stripping edge covering to make a corner joint. Can't comment on the heat resistance of the surface, but having all sides finished offers great versatility5
Great worktopVerified ReviewerGreat worktop. And good value for money.5
Work tooVerified ReviewerGreat product and the new click and collect system is really good5
Its good quality and valueVerified ReviewerIts good quality and value for money5
Very nice worktop and whatVerified ReviewerVery nice worktop and what a brilliant price. Definitely recommend this .5
WorktopVerified ReviewerVery good quality.5
Quality laminate work surface atVerified ReviewerQuality laminate work surface at a great price!5
Superb value, excellent finish.Verified ReviewerLovely texture finish to the laminate for the wood grains, looks very realistic and tidy. Having had solid oak before this it’s nice to be able to wipe down the surface easily.5
SurprisedVerified ReviewerFor price thought was going to be flimsy but very strong5
Lovely worktopVerified ReviewerLovely went in well and looks beautiful5
Beautiful WorktopVerified ReviewerFabulous, not in your face shine, the little speckled effect is so more on trend than the marble effects that I was thinking about. So pleased I chose this, nice curl edge, very happy, does leave wet marks only down point but wipe off easily. :)5
Solid WorktopVerified ReviewerA very robust kitchen worktop, over the moon with the quality, would recommend this.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What are foil and laminate?

Some wood materials need protection with a durable and easy-care foil or laminate surface. The choice depends on the end use and desired finish. We often use paper foil for storage furniture, while plastic foil suits demanding areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Today, the plastic we use is mostly recycled and our goal is to use plastic from renewable sources. Laminate is made of resin-impregnated paper, which adds a durable and moisture-resistant surface for countertops.

Quality

Built and tested to last

We believe that our kitchen worktops should meet your highest demands when it comes to design and performance, without compromise. That’s why we test our worktops, and put them up against the everyday challenges they’ll face in your kitchen: liquids, oil, food, steam, heat, bumps and scratches. When they’ve passed our testing, we know they’ll last, and we guarantee it for 25 years.
