Brightens up my cupboard Anonymous reviewerAlso, just to be clear, the sensor isn't broken - it has no sensor. And just for completeness, the sensor isn't working - it has no sensor. One light 3 settings, 3 batteries (not included) , 1 cable to use without batteries or to charge rechargeable ones. Zero sensor. Happy customer. 4
Pretty good for priceAnonymous reviewerWe tried with the batteries, it didn't last very long.
So we now have them connected to the mains electricity all the time and they work great4
Broke after 5 minsAnonymous reviewerBroke after 5 minutes, total waste of money. Unable to open a case with IKEA for a refund as their website is too hard to follow1
Very poorAnonymous reviewerVery poor product, as others have commented don’t stay on unless plugged in. No mention of a sensor but dimmable so unsure on comments about this. Shame as they are nice when on but have to keep plugging them in which defeats purpose. 1
Don’t waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerI should have read the reviews before I bought. Placed inside my wardrobe but the sensor is so temperamental. Only seems to work for about 1 second when it’s lying flat and not at all inside the wardrobe pointing downward.1
Very unsatisfactoryAnonymous reviewerPurchased to fit in a wardrobe. Within a week the adhesive failed and the light fell and no longer functions. Having (belatedly) read the reviews it's evident I am not the first customer to experience this. This product is clearly not fit for purpose.1
Brilliant LightsAnonymous reviewerWe use them on the stairwell, over the children's desks and in the bathroom, plus I'm about to buy more. You do need to turn them off when you don't need the light to be on due to the sensor, but the batteries last about two weeks for the stairwell one. I'm wondering if the people who say they turn off after two minutes have them on the sensor setting rather than just on. We also have them hanging underneath units and they hang there just fine so again no sure why there have been problems. You need to charge them till the light starts flashing. Ikea if you want to do an improvement then it would be really helpful to have a way of saying how much charge they have left.5
Don't waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerWe bought two of these for inside our wardrobes. They lasted about a week before the batteries died and even in that week they worked only part of the time.1
Sticky strip doesn't hold the light.Anonymous reviewerThere are two adhesive parts to each light. Unfortunately the adhesive isn't strong enough to hold the light in place to use as light for under a kitchen cupboard. I've had similar lights from IKEA previously where you can attach the light with a couple of very small screws. They are great but they are in use in the shed. 1
Extremely poor battery lifeAnonymous reviewerEven with the highest milliamp batteries you can buy for this lamp, it eats through them in a matter of days. The lamp was illuminated for all of five minutes over this period and boom, batteries dead. This product is a waste of time and clearly wasn't tested before being put to market. A useless dud from IKEA and a bad design.1
Works fine without batteries Anonymous reviewerIgnoring the battery function, this works fine if kept permanently connected. We're using it as a desk light, attached to the shelving over the desk. 5
PoorAnonymous reviewerReally, really bad battery life. Wasted money on Duracell batteries thinking they would be fine, but no, after about a week and maybe being used twice for about 30 seconds, the batteries are flat. The sensor must drain the battery life without the lights even being on, really badly thought through design.1
Zero battery lifeAnonymous reviewerTurned on with completely new batteries. Lasted for 4 minutes and wouldn’t turn on again. Same problem with other fully charged batteries.1
Awful..totally unreliable Anonymous reviewerBought to add light to wardrobe interior. Works intermittently. Cheap and poor quality. Expected better from IKEA.1
Charge doesn't last longAnonymous reviewerHaving them on during cooking and meal time effectively means we have to charge them every day. 1
Broke after 2 minutes Anonymous reviewerI bought these hoping they would be a great downlighter. I put new batteries in, however they stopped working after 2 mins. Very disappointing 1
Really good light!Anonymous reviewerThey are very simple to assemble. I don't really understand why people have a problem with it. You just put batteries in, charge it if you have rechargable ones, switch them on at the back and use. As simple as that.5
A little bulky for what I needed....Anonymous reviewerThey ended up being a little bulky for what I needed them for, I found that you could see too much of them in my units. I do find the on dim off buttons a little temperamental. The on dim and off seem too close to gauge and it's usually on or off. They are now in my kitchen under the cupboards, charging does not last long on mine so they are plugged in lots. A question below says something about saving energy and as I say they are more plugged in than not.4
Patience Needed (it seems)Anonymous reviewerInitially I had problems with it and thought I had the same problems many were claiming. BUT all it needed was a bit of patience. I left it charging the batteries and low and behold, after doing that it worked fine after taking the lead off. It threw me at first as I had chargedf the 3 batteries before I put them in the light.4
UselessAnonymous reviewerSo upset. Thought these would be perfect for around my dressing mirror, have stuck them to my newly painted wall and they have gone off after 2 minutes of being switched on with brand new batteries. Never even finished the cleanser on my face let alone a whole routine. Really hope they don't ruin my walk coming back off. 😟1
