Shocked by the striped designAnonymous reviewerVertical black and white stripes have long been associated with the Holocaust, especially when they are similar thickness to the striped pyjamas Jews were forced to wear in death camps. I cannot fathom how a company in Europe can design the striped towels in this set without employees in the design, manufacture and sales teams raising an issue about it. I saw the lemon towel and wanted to buy the set, until I saw the striped towels. As someone whose relatives were murdered by Nazis during the Holocaust, I and many other humans would never entertain the thought of having such towels in our home. I was not expecting to see this in IKEA. I would have been happy to purchase the lemon design on its own. Better still, if there were also other lovely fruits designs, such as strawberries, blueberries and oranges. That would make a lovely set of 4 which I would happily buy.
