Doesn't fit UK light fittings, have to buy their fittings and they dont tell you that instore.Anonymous reviewerWe bought this lampshade yesterday. Upon building it (good luck with that by the way, brain surgery is less fiddly) we discovered it would not suspend from a normal UK light fitting. We went to B&Q this morning and bought a fitting adaptor which still didn't work. The middle part just falls to bits again and the spokes fall out. To get any use out of it at all we've had to take the middle out entirely and just suspend it using the adaptor. We looked on the IKEA website, turns out you have to buy and install one of their light fittings to get it to work. This is a bit of a con in my opinion it should fit standard generic UK fittings if it's sold in the UK. What we've got now is a "best of a bad job" look with it which is very disappointing.
Insanely fiddly.Anonymous reviewerLooks good but almost impossible to put together. I ended up using impact adhesive to keep the metal struts in place. And impossible to put in a new light bulb without partly taking it to pieces.

Very tricky, not worth itAnonymous reviewerHad to get an electrician to wire this to a standard UK light fitting. Shade very frustrating. Looks good once on but it really wasn’t worth the effort!
One for the charity shopAnonymous reviewerI bought this as the colour matched our decor but the light emitted was cold and gloomy. Awkward to put together and to replace a light bulb it has to be partially deconstructed.

Looks good but complicatedAnonymous reviewerThis is a fairly attractive lampshade but it's hard to recommend because it was so complicated to put it together. Most lampshades can be built then put onto the light fitting but this one has to be put together in place, which meant standing on a ladder to finish it off. Also, if you ever want to change the light bulb you have to take the whole thing apart!
