Use a clear light bulb if you have a lamp shade or lamp with a perforated or cut-out pattern or other airy, open design and want the pattern to cast effects on the wall and ceiling.

Great light (1 instruction missing)Anonymous reviewerThe light looks great and isn’t so hard to put together as long as your methodical clipping the bits together - 1 instruction that would be helpful is that all the petals should face the same direction (not alternating as packaged) when putting the plastic clips/pins in. But looks great and works well.5

Only draw back is the length of wire which is REALLY long and some parts difficult to snap together. I really recommend this and would have another one for sure!5
Beautiful piece of engineeringAnonymous reviewerKudos to the designer. One pull and everything open and closes like a ball of florals petals. A bit of assembly needed just like any ikea furniture. Not sure what so difficult about assembling it that other complaining about? Probably more difficult driving a car navigating the streets or assembling Lego bricks than putting this together? As long as the mrs love it, I will make it :)5

Designer thoughts

"RAMSELE pendant lamp is based on a geometric shape known as a dodecahedron and consists of twelve pentagons. My idea was to use this shape to create an interesting lamp that provides both unreserved and constricting looks, and after many attempts I found the right balance. By pulling a cord, you can dim the lamp – and at the same time change its shape. An exciting choice of materials gives RAMSELE a distinctive look that I hope many people like."
