Shrinks when washed Anonymous reviewerWas very disappointed as after a wash and dry following the care instructions, shrunk so much it wouldn’t fit on my bed. There are other reviews showing that this has been an ongoing problem. Luckily was able to get a full refund, however I am disappointed as the product will now go to waste. Hopefully Ikea can fix this issue as a natural cotton/ wool product is better than the polyester ones available.2

But in the case of a King Size it is smaller than the (IKEA) mattress. This gets worse with washing (30) and drying (low). Been washed twice and is now 10 and 3 cm shorter.
Stitching rips easily.

On a natural wool mattress, t makes sense to have a natural wool protector to allow it to breathe and regulate temperature. Only reason I give it a 4 star is because it would be nice to have the sides of the mattress also protected with cotton fabric, even if this raises the price a little. It is a protector and not a mattress pad, or topper, so I feel it should have total mattress protection. 4
