Rough VeneerAnonymous reviewerI bought the oak veneer frame and was disappointed to find that the sleeves of my fleece were catching on the arms of the chair. I used some wire wool to smooth off the catchy fibres of wood and then rubbed in some non silicone Wood Silk spray. This improved the feel of the wood. I used 000 wire wool (medium grade) as that's what I had in, but go easy with it as it does slightly bring the finish off the veneer. After spraying with the Wood Silk, though, you could hardly notice any difference. Really, the customer shouldn't have to do this. Quality control at the factory must have missed this.

Very comfortable - eventually!Anonymous reviewerNeeded a couple of armchairs and having been impressed by the comfort of a friend's Poang chair, I decided to buy two with the padded cushion. My husband assembled them very quickly and they look fresh and modern. However the first couple of weeks, the chair felt quite hard and unforgiving and I wondered if I'd made a mistake. However, a couple of weeks later and this chair is a firm favourite. Maybe the cushion just needed softening up a bit by being ' worn in'.It has good neck support and is perfect for that afternoon nap! I'd highly recommend this chair.

Poor quality seatAnonymous reviewerHave 4 of these in my conservatory. They have very little use but nevertheless the webbing material supporting the cushion has ripped on two of them. We are not overweight and are disappointed at such very poor quality. It is a good design spoiled by penny pinching. There is no point in having replaceable cushions if the base of the seat itself falls apart.

Extra Support Needed! Anonymous reviewerOther reviewers mentioned that the padded seat comes away from the velcro which is meant to hold it in place. By adding an extra wide strip on the rear of the seat base this certainly helped it from sliding down. Our cushion was the leather one. Definitely needed extra support. But a nice chair!

The quality of materials is excellent.
I find the chair both supportive and comfortable and perfect for retaining good posture even with prolonged sitting, eg, after a couple of hours of sitting of an evening my body will be relaxed and without aches.
There is flexibility in the wood which gives a little bounce/rock making for an even more comfortable experience.
The minimalist design gives an uncluttered appearance to the chair and, somehow, to the area around it. The padding is thick enough for comfort but not so thick that it detracts from the design.
I love it!
And the price!! Oh my goodness, such quality and comfort at such a low price!

I wish the colours of the cover were more way interesting, grey is so boring, but if you buy the cream cover you can at least dye it. Highly recommend.

What is layer-glued wood?
With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape.
