Accent LightingAnonymous reviewerORMANÄS were every bit as good as I was hoping for. Setting up was a breeze, pointed my phone camera at the QR code, clicked YES add to my home and a few mins later I was playing with all the colours. The set up, with a non-Ikea hub, worked absolutely perfectly and for simplicity I hooked up 2 Bilresa switches for 17 set colour options and an off option (and my phone/computer for as many colour modes as a want). I happen to like the star effect, it creates far more interest as it washes across my walls rather than just a glowing light tape. I will be buying more of the Ormanas LED tapes for more lighting projects.
Good Strip but limited colours with remote (no green)Anonymous reviewerThe strip itself is easy to fit to the back of a TV. The lighting it gives looks smooth and even, not blotchy, and has a good range of brightness from very bright to very subtle/dim. What lets it down is that if you buy the Bilresa remote that's recommended, this only allows 8 pre-set colours, and green is completely missing. There's one blue, two purples/pinks, cool white, red and then three warm white/oranges. A limited set of pre-sets make sense for a remote, but they should be a more varied set of colours and some form of green should definitely be one of them! Luckily, we already had a smart system set up that was able to tie in with this device so we can have more control over the colours. I'd definitely still recommend this strip as a TV light if you either have a compatible smart system and the tech know how to link it up, or if you have the IKEA hub that's needed for more control - or if you dislike green/feel the colours I listed will cover what you need.
Love these lights!Anonymous reviewerI am very happy with these led lights. I tried various other versions from Amazon, and they all stopped working after a month.
As long as you’re aware of the fact that you need to also purchase the hub controller, I think they are fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they also have various colours, when using the hub controller (I must have missed this info on the packaging).
All in all, I highly recommend them :)

Not greatAnonymous reviewerThe LEDs are quite far apart creating a patchy light look even when mounted behind something and a surface to reflect off of. It is really expensive for what it is and once you've cut the length you want the rest is NOT reusable. Not a patch on the old MYRVARV strip lights.
Love Ikea's lighting usually but this really missed the mark.

Limited Functionality, Wasteful, Bad Value for Money.Anonymous reviewerI wanted an LED strip with variable colours to use with the STYRBAR remote control but it’s been a disappointment. PROS: 1) Easy to set up. 2) Bright. CONS: 1) No green colour despite what the images show. 2) NO VARIABLE COLOUR. There are only set colours or shades of white. Holding the remote control down gives the impression that there are variable colours, however, after releasing the button, if the LEDs are at a point of transition between the set colours, they do not stay there and go to the nearest set colour; I suspect that a hub and app are needed for proper use. 3) I hoped the cut off strip could be adapted to re-use but the terminals are not suitable for connectors and IKEA have no appropriate kits to allow it - VERY WASTEFUL. 4) Cut points are very difficult to see. Unfortunately this seems to be another IKEA smart product that can’t be used properly without a hub.

No staff, so unable to ask questions and buyAnonymous reviewerThere's never anyone in the lighting department to ask questions and no way to e-mail Ikea. I would love to buy some of these but now I see unless you have a smart hub the gold colour is inaccessible, so I won't buy. Will Ikea see this and reply? I doubt it
Amazing Anonymous reviewerI've used a number of led strips over the years, but these really are good. They paired to my hue bridge with no issues, and doing so removes the need for the IKEA remote saving you money also!
not very brightAnonymous reviewerbought these for my tarantula and mantis corner, not bright enough for them, have to buy an led lamp instead. considering you need a £60 hub too it was a costly mistake.
Stair lightsAnonymous reviewerBought with the sensor to go both sides of the stairs. Perfect so we haven't got to keep turning the light on at night time. We've kept them on white even though there are many other colours. Rather than sticking them direct to the wall, the wall was channelled out and the light strip fed through trunking so all the wires are hidden. I would have preferred a bright white, but they don't do this hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
Great LED stripAnonymous reviewerEasy to set up (comes with power adapter). Easy to connect to Home Assistant or whatever zigbee system you currently have ( use the remote if you don't have any of these).
The LED are spaced apart so if you have a reflective surface nearby you will see the individual leds without a diffusion solution.
If you need to shorten the strip make sure you snip exactly at the the marked cut points. Discard the leftover LEDS.
Limited coloursAnonymous reviewerIt needs to be made clearer that you only have a very limited set of colours when just using a remote and without a smart hub and app, you can only choose between warm white, cool white and a bunch of pinks/oranges/purples. There is no blue or green available for example. If I had known I might've bought something else!
