The chrome becomes pitted and ugly. They're probably manufactured in China and they are, essentially, rubbish. I'd rather pay more and know that the manufacture is of decent quality.. Avoid1

Wood rots away and stinksAnonymous reviewerWe wipe the toilet seats regularly, which is is flaw as the wooden seats rot when contact with excess water. So if you don't like to clean your toilet seats this is for you. 1
Hinges corrode and come apart from seat Anonymous reviewerI had hoped that this seat would last longer than a year as it looked good for a while and it had a nice soft closure. However the hinges quickly corrode and eventually come apart from the seat. The MDF will rot if left wet and this is how the hinge is attached. I wish I could upload a photo of the rotted seat! I definitely expected this to last longer,1
