Very PleasedAnonymous reviewerAfter reading reviews I was slightly concerned about this sofa, however it’s comfy, sturdy and super easy to assemble. Very pleased considering the price I paid for it. 5
Nice sofa, but difficult to manhandle Anonymous reviewerThis is a good sofa, but would be better if it came more dismantled than it did. I had to break it apart (meant undoing dozens of staples) in order to get it into my loft space. Once rebuilt though, it’s a good product.3
Good valueAnonymous reviewerThis is a modern sofa that looks good and fits our space well. Covers give lots of options. Not as well built and comfortable as it used to be - our older model is still going strong and much better4

Timeless piece Anonymous reviewerFor the past twenty years I have had two klippan sofas with the cream washable cover for my living room. I adore them for their simplicity, elegance, comfort and sturdiness. 5
So disappointing!Anonymous reviewerI have had Klippans since it came out and just bought another one supposedly black. It's not really black but dark grey, somehow the sitting position is higher. It's a lot harder and I've sat on bits of concrete that were more comfortable and to crown it all it absolutely reeks of fire retardant so bad I can't close the windows and was feeling nauseous after sitting on it for an hour last night even thought I put another padded cover I had on it. Absolutely awful Ikea!1
Not worth it Anonymous reviewerBought this after Christmas and it is already broken2
PerfectAnonymous reviewerThe dugs no eaten it yet!5
It's greatAnonymous reviewerI don't understand the ppl leaving bad reviews. I've got a six month old baby and until now I had a DFS sofa that I hated ever since I reached my second trimester. It was low and deep and so hard for me to use. I then gave birth and struggled even more with it. I can sit and breastfeed on the klippan SO easily and comfortably. I sit on it for hours with my son while he naps. I can lay on it. I can get up from it so easily and back onto it so easily. Genuinely it's the best 200£ I've ever spent. I wish I'd never spent 900£ at DFS, total waste. My husband put the klippan together on his own in about 20 minutes. The arms screwed on to the sides. The back to the back. Job done. The cover went on in about one minute. Seriously I can't recommend it enough. I like the white company in terms of interior decor and the medium grey looks lovely with a gorgeous faux fur throw on it. It's an AWESOME couch. Couldn't decide between Ektorp & this & very happy I chose this!!5
Comfy sofaAnonymous reviewerIf you can put it together it will stand the test of time 5
Not as good. Anonymous reviewerWe have used these Klippan sofas for years in our student houses. The quality has plummeted and we will not be using them in future. Shame as we like to standardise all the houses and now as the existing ones wear out we need to find an alternative. 3
A bit hardAnonymous reviewerIt is a bit hard and not very comfortable for long use. Try it before purchasing and it does not get softer after some use.3
Quality declining over the yearsAnonymous reviewerI have had klippans for decades. Unfortunately, the quality, longevity and comfort has drastically declined over the years which is a shame as it's a great concept and a great size for small spaces. I would rather pay a bit more and still have the quality of old.2
Don’t but the Klippan!Anonymous reviewerSo I’ve had a Klippan for 20 years- it was a very well made design classic. We bought a new one and are utterly shocked by the low quality and minimal comfort. Firstly it comes in four parts- our original one was one piece. Secondly the fabric/paper? that covers the sofa is extremely poor quality whereas the original Klippan had robust good quality fabric. Thirdly, it’s horribly uncomfortable and hard to sit on! Really regret this purchase. It’s really cheaply produced. Ikea cutting corners and sacrificing quality. So disappointing. And I was always such a staunch fan. 1
The price for cover isAnonymous reviewerThe price for cover is higher than the sofa3
Leg broke during installationAnonymous reviewerThe wood is really fragile, and it broke when we tried to flip the chair back up after installing the legs.1
Classic Klippan!Anonymous reviewerGood to seat3
Very good value.Anonymous reviewerVery good value.5
Rubbish coverAnonymous reviewerMost disappointing item I have ever bought from Ikea. The settee itself is fine but the cover is a nightmare to fit. We have tried our best but it still doesn't fit well - I have now bought a throw to cover it over - not ideal.3
Bought as come with cheapAnonymous reviewerBought as come with cheap replacement covers as my cats have ruined so many sofas. Is fairly comfortable with few extra cushions for back. Covers are amazing, cat hairs wipe off easily and they gave hardly touched it. Where they have snagged it
it easily popped back in with fine needle. Have a spare cover but probably won't use for a while🤞
Quick and fairly easy to put together. Re-tightened straps after a week.5
