With this free-standing hat/coat stand, you don't have to drill any holes in the wall to easily hang jackets, coats and backpacks – and it's simple to move

Ideal when you need to hang a lot of clothes on a small surface, for example in a hallway, bedroom, office or waiting room

Fantastic coat rackAnonymous reviewerIt took me months to finally convince myself I still had space in my flat for a coat rack as my entrance corridor is narrow and it just would not work. But I had to have it and I am so glad I now do. What an amazing item no one should do without. I ended up finding 3 other possible places in my small flat that could accommodate such a tall and imposing item, not the entrance hall nor the corridor, but it now sits perfectly next to my rakkestad wardrobe in my spare /dressing room. I couldn't be happier with how it actually helps keep all my daily clothes hanging in between uses and not only helps everything tidy but also nice to look at. What a fun item in such a cool shape and colour, I wish I could have been able to purchase the black version of it too, but I arrived too late. Still so lucky to buy the gorgeous yellow. It's so sturdy and holds loads of clothes! Thank you ikea for bringing back such a cool item back from your catalogues. I hope you will never stop making it available.5

"Cactuses gave me the idea for the shape of SMED hat/coat stand, which was the first product I designed as an IKEA employee. Then, just as now, it was important that the product should be easy to manufacture, take up little space to transport and be easy to assemble. That the stand now, 45 years later, gets a new life with the name BONDSKÄRET in the Nytillverkad collection I see as proof that the design is timeless."
