Good buy!Anonymous reviewermy cat loves this5
Small soft toy for a small personAnonymous reviewerNice size for a small child Nice price Usually ikea quality 5
Bough for my grandson Anonymous reviewerMy grandson loves his soft toy animals. They are ideal for him because they don't have any parts that are small and can work loose. 5
Cute little teddyAnonymous reviewerThis is a cute little teddy and our daughter loves it. Only issueI would raise is around the tag on the teddy, it should be an easy tear tag to take off as it is large and annoying4
Cute Anonymous reviewerBought as a gift from one of our children to the other. Seems soft and well made and a perfect size for tiny hands 5
AmazingAnonymous reviewerLove the range of cuddly toys and the kids think there amazing5
LOVE IT!Anonymous reviewerToo teency and too cute!!5
Small elephant Anonymous reviewerSmall, grey and cuddly5
Perfect Cat toy!Anonymous reviewerMr Phants ( short for Mr Elephant) is a much loved toy , my 7 month old kitten takes it everywhere with her. It's the perfect size and weight, she drags it around and brings it to her bed and will even retrieve it if thrown for her.5
‘Baby Gerald’ is my grandson’s new ‘stuffie’Anonymous reviewerI bought the little elephant because it is very small and VERY lightweight, as I was posting it/them to USA for my 2.5 yr old grandchild amongst others items for my daughter. ‘Baby Gerald’ was named by my grandchild after a bigger elephant in a book and it seems Baby Gerald is a hit. It’s definitely a good item for posting, although the elephant is an odd size: a bit small for cuddling, but too soft and squishy to stand up while being played with (the trunk tips it forwards), but overall a good purchase.4
Right size for my nephew Anonymous reviewerNephew loves these cuddly creatures, just the right size for three year old. They feel great and well made.4
Product is the same as it’s always beenAnonymous reviewerProduct is the same as it’s always been, however I think the price could come downs little as it was a lot cheaper a few years ago, this is the same with a lot of other ikea products4
Lovely and soft to theAnonymous reviewerLovely and soft to the touch, cuddly5

Much loved little cuddly toyAnonymous reviewerMy daughter has two of these, she absolutely loves them. They are firm favourites in our house and I imagine we will be collecting them all.5
Issue with the info labelAnonymous reviewerI like the soft toys, but why oh why is the information label attached soooooooo long? Apart from that. Brilliant.4

Long live the wild animals

DJUNGELSKOG soft toys collection is full of friends to play with and – sometimes – get consolation from. But it has one more important purpose: to highlight wild animals that are endangered due to human activities. Like the orangutan. It lives in Borneo's rainforests where fires and deforestation have reduced their numbers. But it's possible to reverse the trend.

Martin Petri, who works with sustainability at IKEA, was in a rainforest in Borneo in 2016. It was hot and humid. The sound from surrounding wildlife resonated intensively in all directions. High up in a tree, he caught a glimpse of an orangutan dwelling – they were back. "In 1983, a forest fire destroyed 18,500 hectares of rainforest", says Martin. "When Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA, heard about it he wanted to contribute to the restoration of the rainforest. That's why, since 1998, we've financed the project ‘Sow a seed’ which has led to more than 12,500 hectares of rainforest being replanted."

Children care and want to learn more

"Wild animals provide a sense of freedom, in particular for children living in urban environments", says child psychologist Barbie Clarke, who has extensively researched about children and their development. The natural habitats of the orangutan, panda, tiger and other DJUNGELSKOG animals are threatened. This concerns many children. "But they’re also curious and want to learn more about the animals", explains Barbie. That’s why DJUNGELSKOG includes a number of books, too.

More rainforest means more orangutans

Humans have the possibility to restore the natural habitats of animals and the biological diversity which provides balance in nature ─ just like in the rainforest Martin Petri visited. “’Sow a seed’ is one of the world’s largest rainforest projects, and has given involved researchers valuable knowledge which will be useful for other rainforests which have burned down or been felled", explains Martin. More rainforest in Borneo means more orangutans swinging between the trees with their long arms. What a beautiful sight.
