The clear glass has slightly green tone.
Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

1. Stick the adhesive strips onto each corner of the cabinet top around 2 cm from edges and get 2 thickish pieces of cardboard and place them in between the adhesive strips on either side.
2. Peel paper off adhesive strips, then lower the glass panel in place and make your adjustments until it's perfectly aligned then gently pull out the pieces of cardboard.
Hey Presto! Perfectly aligned glass top without any help! Also, don't remove the sticky plastic film from the underside of glass, I think it's there in case the glass top shatters and it's a nightmare to get off and clean. Just make sure plastic film is the bottom.

Awful colour - too greenAnonymous reviewerI had been waiting for this to come back into stock for some time as it was out of stock when we purchased our besta. Saw it in store and was happy so picked it up.
Did not realise it had changed since I saw it on display and it now has a very heavy shade of green. It doesn’t go with the white unit. Very disappointed ikea have changed the product.
Don’t peel the backAnonymous reviewerOn the back of the glass there is a thin plastic film. The instructions are not clear and only mention sticky padding the glass to the cabinet. I peeled the film off (took half an hour!) I understand this isn’t meant to be peeled after phoning customer services. Instructions need to be updated. IKEA please get in contact for sending a replacement as the instructions weren’t clear and I fear this has hindered the tempered glass shattering characteristic.

It was so beautiful and I wish I could buy more. That's also a reason why I and some other people won't but any Besta units now as you cannot finish them with white glass. Who would want green colors?! Ikea, we are begging you - sort it out. Find a manufacturer who can do it. Don't save money as in practice you are losing them - people don't want this item nowdays.

IKEA we’re out of stock of the glass for the tv unit for ages but picked it up in store this weeks. Does not match our original Besta unit and Looks terrible. The green glass does not go with the white cabinets at all and looks even worse when you have one white piece of glass and one green.
