Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Easy way to perfectly align glass on top of cabinet on your ownAnonymous reviewerEasy way to perfectly align glass on top of cabinet on your own... 1. Stick the adhesive strips onto each corner of the cabinet top around 2 cm from edges and get 2 thickish pieces of cardboard and place them in between the adhesive strips on either side. 2. Peel paper off adhesive strips, then lower the glass panel in place and make your adjustments until it's perfectly aligned then gently pull out the pieces of cardboard. Hey Presto! Perfectly aligned glass top without any help! Also, don't remove the sticky plastic film from the underside of glass, I think it's there in case the glass top shatters and it's a nightmare to get off and clean. Just make sure plastic film is the bottom.4

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
