What can I do if my product is missing some parts?
If you've received a product or package that has missing parts, you will be able to either order these parts online, pick up the missing part(s) at an IKEA store or arrange a delivery through IKEA Customer Services depending on the part that you’re missing.
We are sorry for this inconvenience, and we will do our best to help you. If you’re missing a part of a product that you just bought, start by opening and checking all boxes you brought home from the store or that was delivered to you, as some products may be split into several boxes. If the product you bought is indeed missing one or several parts, how you can proceed depends on whether you’re able to find a 6 or 8-digit code for the missing part on the assembly guide. Some small spare parts such as screws or fittings, come with a code whereas others don’t.
If you don't have the assembly guide at hand, you can find it by searching for the product on IKEA.com and then heading to Product details > Assembly and documents > Assembly instructions.
There is a 6 or 8-digit code
If you find the 6 or 8-digit code for the missing part, this means that you can order spare parts through an online form on IKEA.com and have them posted directly to you free of charge within 3-5 business days. If you need the spare part more urgently, most IKEA stores (except Plan & Order Points) also have a small spare parts selection available at the Customer Service desks, usually located near the entrance or exit of the store. Stock availability may vary, but if the part is in stock, a co-worker can arrange for you to take it home immediately.
If you choose to visit an IKEA store but the spart part is not in stock, a co-worker will also be able to arrange a postal delivery for you with the spare part. It will be delivered to your home address within 3-5 business days, free of charge. You can also contact IKEA Customer Service online before heading to the store to check if the spare part is in stock.
There is no 6 or 8-digit code
If you’re unable to find a code for the missing part, you can contact IKEA Customer Service either in-store or online depending on your choice:
Visit an IKEA store. Make sure that you bring your purchase invoice/receipt to your nearest IKEA store before going. If you used your IKEA Family account at the time of purchase, you can also access your receipt by logging in and viewing your Purchase History. Once at the store, head to the Customer Service desk, usually located near the store entrance or exit.
An IKEA co-worker will assist you in identifying the missing part. If the part is in stock, you may be able to take it home immediately. If not, the co-worker can help arrange a home delivery for you when the item is in stock.Contact IKEA Customer Service online. Type "I want to talk to a human" in the chat or call 01733520006 to get connected to an IKEA co-worker. The co-worker will be able to identify the part that you’re missing and if needed, arrange a delivery for you with the missing part. Remember to have your order number/receipt close at hand when reaching out to a co-worker.
