How to get it

The lamps in the DEJSA series all have chrome details and softly-shaped shades of mouth-blown opal glass. Whichever one you choose, you get a soft, dim light that creates a cozy atmosphere in the room.

Slightly more complicated IKEA install than expected...JeffOverall, a great looking piece, but not the most pleasant fixture to install. Realized very early on that Step 3 in the instructions is not reliable to hold the fixture in place while trying to complete the wiring process. I did not want to have this solid, slightly heavy piece crashing to the floor. You will need to have someone hold it while you are doing steps 4-6 especially if your existing ceiling wires are not as long as the ones depicted in the manual. Good luck!4
Very nice ceiling lampRichardPretty lamp. It doesn't hand very far down - sort of a 'mini-chandalier' - so in a regular hight room I don't bang my head on it. The opalescent globes are attractive and with the warmer LED bulbs give a nice light (might be nice with the cooler bulbs too - we haven't tried those). Tiny bit tricky to install compared to regular fixture but manageable.5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
