Can I return a product that I have already opened or assembled?

You can return any product in undamaged condition within 365 days, even if you have previously assembled it.

At IKEA you can change your mind!

Have you unpacked your IKEA product but not used it or have you assembled the product but it shows no signs of use? Then you can return it to any IKEA store of your choice within 365 days with proof of purchase or your order number and receive your refund in the same form you initially paid with.

Please note that you must disassemble items in the event of a parcel return or truck pick up. If you return items to the furniture store, you can also return them assembled.

Have you already used your IKEA product (except hygiene articles, mattresses, electrical appliances) and would like to return it within 365 days? We will refund you the money in the form of a gift card.

You can return mattresses to us within 90 days of test sleeping and we will refund you the money in the form of a gift card. Electrical appliances must be in their original packaging when you return them, refunds will be made to the original payment method. Hygiene articles may be unpacked but must be unused. If the item has already been washed, it counts as used and the item will not be taken back. 

You can also change your mind after 365 days. In this case, you can use our Second life buyback service.
