You can return products in undamaged condition within 365 days, even if they have already been opened or assembled. The important thing is that the item shows no signs of use, has not been used and is complete.
How to return an opened or assembled product
If your product has already been unpacked or assembled but not used, you can return it to any IKEA store within 365 days with your receipt or order number.
You will receive your refund via the same payment method used for the purchase.
Important information
- For parcel or truck returns, assembled products must be disassembled before collection or shipping.
- At an IKEA store, you can return assembled products as long as they are unused and complete.
- Hygiene products, mattresses and electrical appliances have their own return conditions.
Special conditions
- Mattresses:
You can exchange or return them as part of the 90-day mattress trial. - Electrical appliances:
They can only be returned in their original packaging. - Hygiene products:
They can only be returned if they are unopened or unused. Items that have already been washed or used are excluded from returns.
Returning products after 365 days
If the return period has already expired, you can check whether your product is eligible for the Second Life Buyback Service. Selected furniture can be returned there in exchange for an IKEA refund card, giving it a second life.
