"The plant pot was the first thing I designed in the BIGARRÅ decoration series. I let it take space in the room, with its generous width and asymmetrical shape and it turned into a sculpture as well as a functional plant pot. The vases and candlesticks grew out of the same idea. Then I chose stoneware as the material. The matte, glazed surface gives the same velvety feeling as a polished stone. Together, the shape and material are a visual reminder of the feeling of touching a smooth stone."
