Poorly planted and grown, yet still soldMichaelAt the store, the Jade Plant looked like a robust and healthy plant. The price was at first glance was reasonable. Looked like a good buy on the way out, so sure, why not get something to brighten up the window sill? Getting it home and giving a good watering as it a dry, is when things fell apart. Two large stalks fell over and out. I picked them up and realized, both of these had no root structure and were just cuttings jammed into the soil at the side of the pot. I emptied the pot of the overly loose and peaty soil and saw that three of the stalks had some small root structure and another one smaller stalk had none. I am now attempting to start roots on the three without roots (YouTube has instructions) and replanted the others with better soil. So far, one without roots has withered and died. The ones with the roots still look very healthy. Overall, it looks good but I should have done a better inspection at the store.3

So far, so good. An easy plant to maintain as requires infrequent waterings. Would recommend as easy to care for and adds a little green to your environment.
