Reviews

Love this rug!!MarieVery thick, high pile rug. Luxurious for the price!! I love how when it relaxes it creates a sculptured texture. Vaccuums easily even using the beater bar but does not pull strands up, just refluffs the rug. My last high pile rug from Ikea lasted over 20 years so worth every penny ❤️5
Thick carpet. Looks much more expensiveLeeThick carpet. Looks beautiful vacuumed We really love it!5
Different rug, same nameRandiIn early 2025 this was one of the most stunning rugs I've ever seen/felt. Warm color, incredibly soft. Built entire living room design scheme around it. Then I needed medical treatment and had to postpone my move. A year later I went to IKEA, and as evidenced by other online reviews, this is a different rug. Lighter color. Feels rough and almost tacky/sticky. Not even close to what it was. I have been dreaming of this rug and this move for a year and am incredibly disappointed to not have the hygge, incredibly soft rug that once was sold. Last IKEA rug lasted 14 years. Now I have to look elsewhere. PS- In store this rug also off-gassed and smelled awful.1
breaks easily Dominiquethe rug is very delicate , the cleaning machine broke the corner 1
Great rugPamelaUsing as an exercise mat. Soft, thick and perfect.5
High pile feels greatJoelHigh pile is a great way for me to get a nice add foot rub… esp on a cold day. it could use a nice thick carpet pad for that extra cushy feeling.5
Plushness a step aboveNathanIt is a synthetic rug, which I did not want want, but IKEA's $500ish wool rugs are in the 7' 7" range, which I just could not do under a normal couch. So I went with this one. It is a shag rug which a step above in quality and density than your average Target/Home Depot/Lowes/Amazon etc. rug around $200-250 for an 8x10. This one is a little smaller in width and a little more expensive than that, so the price is proportional with your normal IKEA value. It is a warm white which may cause pause for some, but there is enough texture to where a little ding is not going to destroy your enjoyment of it. It has transformed my living room which has darkish floors. I cought a Saveveigh wool rug for $420 from Target before this. It came, I returned it. It was extremely low density, stretchy, and loose. It felt like it would desinigrate in a year. A great buy, but if you can swing it, get a good wool rug, but make sure it is not too cheap to be true. IKEA's wook rugs feel high quality.5
Beautiful CarpetPatriciaThe carpet is soft and beautiful as pictured. Ordered as a replacement for my high priced area rug, but this carpet looks almost the same as my previous high priced carpet. Great fast delivery, rolled out the carpet and it looked perfect. Will order 3 more since they are so beautiful.5
CozyKimThis rug is so plush and cozy that you’ll never want to leave the house. Its neutral color palette makes it easy to pair with any home furnishings and can be easily changed with redecorating. A+.5
Soft EvelynI love this rug. It’s soft and dense. I wanted to buy another one but the price has gone up $50 in less than six months. 🤔5
Forget Amazon!LoriI tried to get what I needed through Amazon, and after several failed attempts to find a quality area rug for a reasonable price, I turned to IKEA. This rug is amazing and beautiful! I wish I had shopped IKEA first.5
Soft and Fluffy!MeganBought this rug for my sunroom/office to make it a little cozier, and it was worth it! It's soft, fluffy, and the color brightens up the space a lot. If I had another room that needed a rug, I'd buy it again.5
It's good.희진It's thicker than I thought, which is nice, but the fur looks a bit messy.4

Lovely rugKathyThis rug really enhanced the look of the room and adds a layer of luxury plus warmth 5
Lovely RugSarahThis rug looks beautiful in our living room but the chemical smell is powerful. I’m curious how others have noted no smell but it was actually triggering my asthma. Hoping the off gas process is quick because I’d like to keep it. 4
Lush PlushSarahThis rug is soft, deep and goes with every style furniture. I added a really thick pad and now I feel like I have a MCM conversation pit rug. I have one in my bedroom and one in the living room. Great looking and great on cost.5
What colors is it? JulieWhat colors is it? Anyone please. Looks white or off white, I need a true white. 5
Great productRobbieI simply love this area rug! 5
Questionable qualitySherylThis rug met my expectations in appearance and felt good on my feet. However when it arrived, it was damp, wet in some areas and smelled as if it had been shampooed. It had foil candy wrapper and leaf debris in it also. All of this gave me the impression it had a previous owner. Gross! Will return. 2

Delighted with purchase. On wooden floors doesn’t slip, soft underfoot and doesn’t drop fluff.

A rug to linger on

If you take a closer look at the fluffy rug, you will see that it has a special texture. This is since the rug is woven from yarns with different thicknesses. The mix of yarns also makes it extra soft to sit on. It’s not impossible that VOLLERSLEV will soon knock the sofa off its throne and become your new favorite place in the home.
