Not medium firm — just misleadingly soft and awful for your backAnnaIKEA claims this mattress is medium firm, but in reality it’s way too soft and completely unsupportive. My back has never felt worse — and that includes nights spent on a metal-framed folding sofa with no mattress at all. I’m in my 30s, healthy, and have never had sleep issues before this.
After just a few weeks, the mattress started feeling uneven, offering zero support. Now, 9–10 months in, I wake up stiff and exhausted every single day. It’s honestly the worst sleep experience I’ve ever had.
If you care about your spine — avoid this model. Total disappointment.3

These mattresses, in particular, were much firmer and comfortable eight and five years ago when I bought them for the first and second times. Yesterday we purchased the same mattress for another bed, but the quality is incomparably worse. The springs are so soft that the sides of the mattress get flat if you sit on them. Disappointment. 1

Very thin and shortJackyIf you have the Brimes storage bed frame, don’t buy it, it’s short and leaves a huge gap at the end of the bed and it’s very thin, I sit down and my legs hit the bed frame, and I sink in and I keep hitting the bed frame, it’s a comfortable bed but it just has bad measurements.2
Ikea refuses to follow their own policyJoyBought mattress and then it came on sale a week or so later. Ikea refuses to honor their Ikea Family price adjustment policy which says promotions, not just a change in price, applies.
Mattress itself is ok except, between the slats and the mattress, you'll fall off all edges. It's very firm when sleeping but not for standing (had to put a few nails on the wall).1
UndersizedDylanAs some other reviews have noted, this mattress is too short. The "queen" size is only 75 inches long; not 80, as a queen size mattress is supposed to be. Otherwise seems to be a decent mattress if that's not an issue for you - it was for me.2

Do Not Buy if you want a normal twin sizeAnonymous reviewerI purchased this mattress for my daughters new twin size bed frame, I know Ikea mattresses are slightly under the normal US size for a twin but close, this mattresses sat for 3 days and never expanded to anywhere close to the size it was supposed to be. You could see inches of the frame in the length, width and depth never got there either. So back it went and because it was opened which I had to do in order to even find out that measurements were not as described I could only get store credit. It would be one thing if I didn't like the mattress but to not refund my card for a mattress that wasn't even close to a twin size is just awful. I will never be purchasing another mattress from Ikea and my family already owns a few. Very disappointing purchase! 1
