Sizes are wrong!!!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!Kathleen21” by 24” inch shelf is NOT really 21” x 24”.
The website lets you choose the size of the shelf, but the sizes are not accurate. When I received the shelves, that are A LOT smaller, I called Ikea. Camina in customer service said the sizes are not real, and refused to let me speak with a manager or supervisor. Not helpful. She wanted me to approve addition $10 charge to return the incorrect size shelf. To pay additional money NOW, then possibly get my item credited later. Why not just give me a partial credit later… why do I have to pay additional money now???? It made no sense. The shelf is too small. I’m not paying more money for their error. The closest IKEA store is over two hours away so they want me to drive there now or handover my credit card information and pay additional fees for their error. Never buying from IKEA again.
AwesomeIreneI love this shelf I use it on top of my washer and dryer as a folding area. I used a foam type flat line to keep it from moving! Everyday use for me.
HORRIBLE! Measurements all wrong!EllieI can hardly believe how many reviews dating back at least a year showing customers complaining about the fact that their measurements are all wrong. Why hasn’t IKEA fixed this? It’s been a complete waste of our time and money buying materials that are not the size advertised. Just horrible and SO fraudulent!
Terrible. All measurements wrong!EllieWe bought 48 shelves to fit into our closet cabinets. We were very careful to measure all sizes because we needed a variety of lengths and widths. After driving several hours to get to an IKEA store so we could pick up our order, then we had to load everything without anyone there to help us. It wasn’t until we drove another hour home and unloaded all the shelves that we realized that every single one was the wrong size! The widths were 1.5” too short and the depths were nearly 1” short. When we called customer service they said they’d come pick them up, but the damage had already been done. Now we have cabinets without shelves that fit and no remedy except to pay someone to custom make them for us. We will never shop at IKEA again!

Please include better measurementsMarkI’m looking at all the prior reviews for these shelves and am dumbfounded by how long it’s been going on that people are complaining about the fact the measurements being vague. I get that you want to include the dimensions of the cabinets as a callout to what the “size” of the shelves are, but wow, you really need to also include the actual explicit physical dimensions of the boards themselves not just the cabinets that they are designed to go into. This seems braindead obvious to me and it would create a lot less confusion. Please fix this.

Not 36x24BethThese shelves are not truly 36" wide, they are 34.5", which might not be a big deal unless you're installing them in a 36" wide closet and need them to go wall-to-wall.

These shelves are NOT 30"KimberlyBeware these shelves are labeled 30" but are in fact 28 ½". They are labeled 30" but what they mean is it fits in a 30" cabinet. If that isn't the most absurd labeling I don't know what is. Not until I got home and looked on the website did I see you need to go beyond the description "UTRUSTA Shelf, white, 30x14 ¾ "
to find out what the true size of the shelf is. Don't look at the label on the shelf. That would be too easy and WRONG

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded.
