Uppland storage ottoman - the best solution!AnnOur family needed to replace a 12 yr. old sofa sectional..."well-loved and used" by 4 cats, 4 teenagers, and myself. My kids still wanted a sectional for lounging and stretching out to watch TV, though it took up our whole room. I bought 2 Uppland ottomans, a sofa chaise and a loveseat which satisfies us all. The ottomans can be moved around to fit our needs, the covers are washable, and they provide a convenient place to sit or set a tray on for snacks. Good quality for a great price...and I havent even used it for storage yet! Kid and cat approved!
Uppland ottomans are terrificEllenWe love our Uppland, wish we had couch and loveseat too! Wishful future. Study and can switch out cover easily. Covers are high quality. Our cats love the ottoman as a scratch pad, so being able to buy new covers (and new colors out, yay!) is ideal!

Upland cover does not fit Ektorp Ottoman!LesaI am very disappointed that I cannot find a replacement cover to fit the Ektorp Ottoman. The Upland cover does not fit. It is 2" too short on all sides. The skirt fits, but not the cushion cover. This was a waste of money for me.

A bit hard for sitting and no hinge/pistonsLesWe bought two to use as coffee table/ottoman duty. They are almost perfect for that scenario. Would have been nice if they were hinged with pistons to hold them open like our older ikea ottoman.
There have been times I’ve gone to momentarily sit down on them and ouch!! Do not plop down on one. They are quite firm.

Incorrect images shown here.ChristinaIKEA is trying to dupe customers into thinking that this cover will fit on the discontinued Ektorp ottoman. Note, this actual product does not have any zippers as is shown in the photos here. The zippers are on the Ektorp ottoman, but they are not on the Uppland covers. Do not buy this cover thinking it will fit your Ektorp ottoman. It is too small. Shame on IKEA for misrepresenting this cover in their photos. It is not just one photo either; it is on multiple color options for this product, so it is clear this was done on purpose by IKEA.
