Hard to openHeikeIt took me a while to open the scissors. You can’t really turn the screw to loosen the tightness. WD-40 worked for me3
Worth it!!LisaBought to have a "dedicated" pair of kitchen shears for my daughter's house. Roommates kept taking the others (multiple) to use for common scissors. Hung this pair on a hook inside a pantry cabinet. They have a very nice weight to them and perform as expected. I have a very expensive brand-named pair that feel about the same. These are inexpensive and FAR better than $1.25 shears from the Dollar Tree my daughter bought previously (4x), which is roughly the cost of these. I believe they will be longer lived.5

What is stainless steel?
