When this self-watering insert is placed into the soil of any plant pot, the water will penetrate the soil through the terracotta insert.
The terracotta insert makes the water penetrate more slowly than other solutions, so the water will last for longer.
The water container can also be replaced by a 1 liter PET bottle to allow for more water volume when you’re away on vacation.
The water container is made from semi-transparent plastic so you can see the water level and add water when needed.
The water container has a lid on the top for easy refilling, while also keeping insects away.

Great idea, needs tweakingKayThe loose top results in an immediate and complete release of water. Ollas should have a tight seal of the top to provide a slow, steady stream of hydration. Almost got it right.
Good Quality, easy assemblyBillieIt was easy to put together and so far has been holding up in my porch plants. Only thing I wish was there was something that secured the lid because it gets knocked off easily.
Great product! KatherineI personally did not find this difficult to set up like some other reviewers did, you insert the clay piece into the gasket and then insert it into the funnel (literally not hard at all). I’d love a smaller version for smaller plants too!
Another thing, if your soil is dry on top it’s because you inserted it INTO the soil so of course you won’t see the top soil wet. The plant will take the water when it needs it, and simply refill or do a deep water when it’s empty.
Wonderful ProductZThis product works wonderfully and saved me from having to replant my plants to avoid an insect issue. It is so nice to have a self watering product that can be watered through the lid and does not have to be removed from the plant. What an absolutely wonderful product at a great price.

Water just runs throughAntoniaI am very disappointed with this item. I want to return it and don't know if I still can. I filled it up with water and stuck it in the pot. I checked the next day and the water is half way through. The following day it was empty.
Very sad as I thought it would do what it's description says it would but didn't. :(
Wasn’t sure how well these would work MarinaIf you have a thirsty plant or you’re planning on a trip, definitely get these. I wasn’t sure how well these would work initially, but my worries were unfounded. These definitely work as described. Can be used with any plant that needs moist soil or if you’re planning a trip. I do with IKEA would produce a smaller version for my smaller plant pots.

Great for tropical house plants!CristinaThese are great for tropical plants that you have to be careful to not overwater. To assemble - place it funnel side down on a tabletop, place the rubber gasket into the funnel THEN push the ceramic/clay part in you will have no problem getting it together very easily. Great solution for a chronic over-waterer!

Three Stars RaymondI found it very difficult to insert the rubber gasket into the plastic funnel opening. Took a lot of hand force to mate both halfs. I had to use a soap lub to aid with assembly of both halfs. The directions don't mention this easy trick.

The larger size is good of course for larger plants or when you’re away for longer time.which means you can put more water to make it last longer. I love it cuz I got 2 different sizes. Has a cover so that it doesn’t evaporate water easily or allow bugs. I just wish it was the color green so that it blends in with the plants.
Assembly? SueIt’s cheap, but assembling it was a pain.
