Cute but imperfect CoreyThe chair is cute and comfortable but some of the details show that it is not made very well. You can clearly see the upholstery staples throughout the entire side of the chair and the two side panels had some splintering when I opened the package. Overall it is nice enough for a bedroom reading nook.
Very comfy, and sturdyMaryWhen I was looking for furniture I knew what I wanted and found these at Ikea. We bought 3 and we love them. I would add the green velvet one too but need to find a place for it!
I Built One of ThoseTerri LI’m a fan of Strandmon . The vibberbo black and beige is in my living room . Pattern on living room furniture is new to me . Possibly one of my better furniture decisions made when putting the space together was choosing pattern. I love everything about Strandmon -the style, shape and pattern added to my eclectic mix of furnishings that ranges from Victorian antiques to mid century modern. The modern take of the wing chair blends together the decades . I find the chair a comfortable sitter and generally find myself there . I have the gray one in my bedroom too.
The most uncomfortable chair of my life :(EmiliyaIt was easy to assemble actually, and it looks very nice , but level of comfort is highly disappointed ..I wouldn't recommend !
Perfect for reading, knitting, viewingRebeccaI wasn’t looking for a chair on my IKEA visit, but this one stopped me in my tracks as I walked through the displays. The style was distinctive without being showy, and the green velvet upholstery option was perfect for my aesthetic. I sat in the chair and found it to be amazingly comfortable—within a few minutes I purchased it.
Assembly instructions were easy to follow. I did ask a friend to help me with the final assembly step (attaching the “wings” which were large and a bit heavy) but it only took about 40 minutes to set up in total.
Best and Most Comfortable ChairsAnthonyI purchased two Strandmon chairs and ottoman's about three years ago in dark gray. They are placed on either side of a window in our den and my wife and I use them to start every day. We have our coffee and review the news and discuss the day's schedule. They are amazingly comfortable and have held up very well. These are our go-to chairs for reading (and napping). Please don't change the design - it's perfect.
Third time is not a charm!MaryWe purchased 2 slightly used STRANDMON Wing Chairs. We were unsure if the design is flawed or the used items were damaged prior to purchase. So, we decided to buy a new chair from IKEA, same model. This chair also has a major design flaw. The back legs, attached to a board which seems to buckle over time. The newly purchased chair is 2 years old. We’ve had great experiences with other IKEA purchases, this chair is such a disappointment.
My cats love it tooPrekshaI’ve wanted this chair for years and actually bought it off fb marketplace bc I was afraid of spending so much for my cats to just shred it up. Turns out it holds up extremely well to cat claws — not a tear so far and boy have they tried!!

Pretty chairNoahIt all depends on the color. The navy blue works really well among my living room neutrals. Classic yet modern enough pop of color. The problem? They canceled the navy color. WHY? IKEA - you need better colors for this great chair.

Nice decorDeniseI bought this chair for the look. And honestly that's all you're going to get out of it. Not very comfortable. But it's still a nice piece.
Assembly instructions not clearYimingIt took me most of the afternoon to figure out that the side should be pressed down until the bent iron rod is bent and embedded in it so that the other parts can be aligned. After I nearly broke the wooden chest of drawers during assemy, I wouldn't have dared to press it so hard at first.
Still assembling. I will write another review if I find any new details after using it for a while.
Great Chair but very limiting color selectionAnonymousI bought this chair but returned it after few days as the color did not work.
I wish IKEA have had introduced this chair in the white cotton and best yet if this chair would have a washable cover.
White upholstery like it is available on some sofas is ideal because it works with any decor and it is washable and even bleachable so idea for so many of us who own pets.
The chair is very comfortable. Not soft and soggy but on a bit firm side however it is profiled in such a way that very nicely supports comfortable relaxed body posture and is high enough to nicely rest the head on its back wall.
I would truly believe that those chairs would sell in billions if they would make a white cotton cover for it. Also I would love to be able to buy a chair in one finish and cover in other finish so in my case I would love to see a blue velvet/velour chair and be able to smack on it the washable cover or the other way around.
PLEASE MAKE A WHITE COTTON COVER FOR IT!AND PLEASE MAKE A BLUE VELVET TOO

Attractive NancyIt’s an attractive chair with fun lines. If you want a stiff chair that holds you upright it’s very good, if you want to sink into a comfy chair, it’s not that. It also was hard to put together. All that said, I love how it looks in my home.
