This mirror is wonderful when used as intendedLaurel C.We love this mirror. We bought it to augment our existing bathroom vanity sconce. Yes, it requires a box be installed behind it, which can be a bit of a pain (especially in getting it lined up properly so it sits between the supports on the frame. We also ended up needing to space the entire thing from the wall with a couple of washers in order for the mirror to sit evenly, but it was worth it. Having light from all sides of your face is wonderful. The color temp is nice as well. As we build our next house, I simply can't find a mirror that I like better than this for even 3x the price, so we are buying them for both bathrooms.5
Sooooo dark...Alec F.The mirror looked bright on display at the store, but once we installed it in my daughter's bathroom, it's so dark. Definitely not worth the $149 we paid. Wish the brightness was adjustable.3
PerfectPascaleI couldn’t see well with my old lighting. This mirror lights up so well I can see every detail now, it’s also a perfect size for a small bathroom.5
Low quality for the priceMinIn the showing room, it looked great but then in my restroom, it looks not pricy at all. For that price, the quality can be said bad. I returned.1
NOT bright enough.Mike Q.If you're thinking of using this to light your bathroom, or that it'll be bright enough for stuff like doing make-up, think again. It's about as bright as your average bedside lamp. Do NOT count on it for more than accent lighting. The way the LED strips are mounted also ends up leaving dark spots in the corners of the diffuser which makes it look a bit grubby all the time.
At least the mirror works well...3
It's nice but it wasClaudiaIt's nice but it was a little difficult to assemble especially compared to all the other IKEA things I've bought. Maybe it's bc I don't usually have to deal with electric wires.3
Small dark bathroom …AbbiThis mirror was priced right and adds so much light and character to my SMALL bathrooms. Vintage vibes but very modern too5
Good quality and so prettySHAMIRANGood quality and so pretty5
Need internal dimensionsElizabethThis mirror did nicely for us in a guest bathroom, but we had to move the electric box underneath, because it was too close to the edge of the frame (the ceiling gave us limited space). An additional drawing and set of measurements to show the needed clearance around and inside the frame would have been useful.4

Perfect for a girls bedroom!ChristinaWe hung the Storjorm lighted mirror above the desk in my daughter's bedroom. She loves the way it looks and the lighted effect around the mirror really gives off a good amount of light for her to complete school work at night.5
Great mirrorSorodsanBest option quality price5
No cablesophialien1224I bought this product 2 days ago expecting to put it together and work. It does not come with a cable to light up the LED lights. Not worth $99 when you have to buy extra parts1
very pretty but very hard to installella_____it’s so pretty when it’s turned on but the box did not say you have to hardwire it in. it doesn’t come with a plug or anything. my dad works in construction so he knew how to put it in but if it wasn’t for that i would’ve had to spend more money on having a professional put it in or i would’ve taken it back. once it was put in it was perfect and i couldn’t love it anymore!!!4
Use this as a make-up vanity mirror in my bedroomBusty GirlI use this in my bedroom at my make vanity. The lighting is not the best but this product has been amazing. I wired it to the light switch used for my closet and love the way I am able to apply my make up comfortably sitting down in my room.5
Not more than a nightlight!FallniteDo not waste your money! It can not be your only source of light. You will be disappointed. I would take them back if the electrician hadn't trashed the boxes.1
You need an electrician to install this.mdinNYCIt should be crystal clear on the packaging and website that installing this in your home requires an electrician. It cannot be plugged in. You need to go into your wall wiring and wire it in yourself. This in effect doubles the cost of the mirror. Not happy at all.1
Hardwire heavenJeff is not an electriciaGreat that this mirror light works with the wall switch. Safe and convenient. I just popped in a remodel box behind the mirror and dropped a Romex wire down from the vanity light above the mirror. Easy and looks great.5
Easy installmenthellurTo everyone upset about this mirror having to be hardwire into the wall, that is actually NOT the case. If you’re wanting it to be a plug in, hardwire it to an extension cord!! Easy peasy! Now you have an awesome light, that is able to be plugged in and unplugged :)5
Bait and switch by IKEAfreekncreeknBought this in the store for my teenage daughter’s vanity. No where did the description mention that the unit had to be hard-wired into the power source when installing. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is NOT a simple mirror that you hang on the wall and then plug into a wall outlet. If you are comfortable doing electrical work, this seems to be a fantastic mirror once installed. If you are not, perhaps prepare to hire an electrician or handyman to install. IKEA could have made this more prominent in their in-store description. Will be returning this unfortunately.1
