Hard to unfold!EdithGot one of these for small rug. Perfect! Slim, stopped slip, no smell after airing out. Got larger one. It is packed so tight I have not yet been able to fully unfold it! I am strong! Just know you may need help and patience and a few tries. Cuts easily to size.

Do Not Use For Runners!AliciaI agree with the other recent review. It's ok if something like furniture is holding it down, but it is terrible for runners, especially in high traffic areas. It literally will not keep it in place and in fact you will go flying if you step on the end quickly. Very disappointing product from Ikea!!
Unconventional use: Secured stacked items without slippageAmyBought this years ago for use under a wool shag rug. Works well enough for that but if you move the rug, it can possibly buckle against itself - hard to unroll and flatten it out. Not a deal breaker. It works well.
I, however, bought it recently to cut up into small squares to slip between plastic storage bags full of pants and sweaters. The top of the bagged pants kept slipping, falling off the pile. Slipping a piece of this non-slip rug pad between the items at the top secured the pile and prevented slippage. Presto! Wha-la!

This is easy to use and cut down to size and it holds like an anchor. If there are any doubts about the size, do what the one reviewer suggests and buy a little more, trim some down and have some extra on hand if needed.
Challenging to handle - stretches over timeNorlieThis anti-slip rug underlay is a great idea, but challenging to apply with one person since it sticks to itself.
It seems like a very thin piece of felt with a waxy adhesive applied. Once in place, it seems to keep the rug from slipping. However we noticed over time that it slowly stretches and bunches up under the carpet, probably because it is so thin.
