Wanted to love itErinThis laptop stand is attractive and does allow for airflow to keep your laptop cooler but it's deficiency (at least for me) is that the lip of the "shelf" is not significant enough to keep my laptop from sliding off. I had to put velcro on the ends of the stand and on the bottom of my laptop to keep it in place. Not ideal, I don't really want to do any extra work to make a thing work as advertised. Don't recommend.
Check inside the box first!LindaThe stand is easy to assemble. It appears that there should be scuff pads included in the box but mine did not have them, only the assembly screws. The alignment may not be perfect; one corner of mine is slightly higher than the bar it connects onto.

I should have listenedRachelI should have listened to the other reviews regarding assembly. No matter what angle/tool I used I could not get this to stay together. The screws are not long enough and the product falls apart/isn't flush/level.
I hope they reconsider the design as it is one of the most modern/sleek stands I've seen available online, which is why I bought it.
Sadly, I tried pre-drilling into one end after trying everything else and now it's damaged so I cannot return it.

Does the jobGaryThe fit of the pieces is slightly off so the seams are too apparent. The lip that keeps the laptop from sliding off the front is not large enough so you have to be careful when moving the stand around.
Classic IKEA vibe. Good quality and attractive look.JustinImportant to keep in mind it has a LEFT and RIGHT side. So the screw holes align perfectly. Otherwise you will have problems with alignment if you don't do it correctly. I really like this simple item, My laptop sits great on it. I appreciate the classic IKEA vibe. The bentwood construction is made of nice wood, the joints are cut very clean and accurately. Nice thick white laminate surfacing and the exposed wood sides have a thick coat of clear lacquer. I feel IKEA has let quality go down over the years, however not with this item! I am glad it is made of wood and not plastic like many of these you see in stores. Competitively priced. I hope IKEA keeps making more quality products like this one is!
