The pile of the rug dampens sound, creating a snug feeling, and is soft to walk on.

The rubber backing keeps the rug in place when the child runs/plays on it.

My kids are enjoying playing on this rug. It’s soft, better quality than I expected, and fun. It is only new, so no marks yet, but I do wonder how it will go with a spot clean (when that time unfortunately comes!)
