Fantastic bed, unbeatable priceJoyOutstanding twin bed at an unbeatable price! Solid, sturdy, and a nice clean design. Our tween daughter chose it for her room remodel, and my husband and I put it together quickly - no assembly problems at all. (One person could also put it together on their own.) Three heights to chose from for the mattress when assembling. The supporting slats you must buy separately at IKEA, and the bed came with hardware to keep them in place. Good air flow under the mattress due to the slats. We got the dark brown finish and didn’t buy the version with the storage drawers underneath (I plan to store items under the bed on the floor), as I really dislike assembling drawers and didn’t want to pay extra for them considering we don’t need them. It looks great in her room and is solid and comfortable - no squeaking or moving. We might get the coordinating nightstand too. Thanks, IKEA!

Sturdy for an Adult. Exceeded Expectations.AnonymousI was a little hesitant to use this bed with only the Luröy slats and my Casper mattress, as I am a 285lbs, 5’8” man. I was extremely careful to distribute my weight and roll over gently the first few nights. I’ve stopped thinking about it, and simply get in bed and sleep with no problem. No signs of bending on the metal track that holds the slats, and no problems with the slats. I was also worried that the slats would not be close enough together for a Casper mattress without any kind of solid support, but I have had no problems or damage to the mattress. I am convinced that anyone who claims to fall through an Ikea bed simply failed to follow the assembly instructions meticulously. Make sure to use the white pegs in the metal track to hold the slats taught. You CAN put this together. If you are a competent and able bodied human being with enough attention span and spatial reasoning to follow any other Ikea furniture assembly, this will be no problem. Yes, a bed will take more assembly time than a night stand. Yes, there are many screws and dowel rods, keep them in a container as you work. Yes, you’re going to have a claw for a hand the next two days after you put this together with only a screwdriver, but you’ll survive. If you value your time and energy more than money, then buy the assembly service.
Perfect for my sonLorenaI bought it for my son who is 9 years old he actually choose the bed. Its perfect for his size and goes well with his room. Assembly was not bad I was able to do it all on my own. I love the color cause it goes with the rest of our IKEA products.
Wrong size screws for slat holesAnonymous reviewerI purchased this bed frame for my 4 year old daughter. I got through all the assembly instructions till it was time to put the screws with the plastic ends on to stop the slats from moving. I tried for almost an hour to get the screws to go through the holes but they just wouldn’t fit. I double and triple checked to make sure I had the correct screws and corresponding holes in which case they were correct but they just wouldn’t fit. I don’t wanna have to return the frame for this reason but I want it to be safe for my child.
Great Guest BestLanaPurchased (2) of these beds for my guest bedroom. My 12 year old daughter and I were able to put them both together in roughly 3 hrs. I did not have any issue with the assembly or having missing hardware or wrong screw location. Initially, I was going to purchase the under bed storage but the store was out of the product. I am glad that I did not now because there is not much space under the bed when assembled.
