The batteries are easy to put in & the amount of light is the perfect ambiance to add character to a room at night.
Very sturdy & feels well made.
Love the little door you can open & put something inside (like maybe a small figurine & use it like an awesome mini display case 💗).
The only (smallish) caveat that I didn't realize upon buying, is that the bulb is non-replaceable & the paper that comes with it, says that once the bulb dies (after 25,000 hours...so about 12 years if you use it for 6 hours each day), the whole lamp should be replaced. Which really isn't necessary given its design. The "bulb" (light strip) is built into the fully removable mechanism at the top where the batteries go. If IKEA sold that top mechanism as a separate replacement item, you could easily swap it out & use the lantern forever 💗
Still love this lamp 💗, even if it just becomes a pretty case 12 years from now.
