Installed it myself!!RebekahThis is a great ceiling light for the price, wow! I’m using it in a small, dark theater room so I only need one bulb worth of light. It was easy to install and understand which wires go where. I have no experience with electrical work, it’s super easy. I was replacing an existing light which meant I had all the required screws and wire nuts, but if you’re choosing these for new construction, yeah, you need to get that stuff. The thing about IKEA is you need to buy one of those kits they sell with screws, anchors, etc. if you expect to mount and hang things. Once you have one you’re set for years!
Beautiful lamp but don't get the recommended bulbJanetFor anyone wondering, the max wattage for this lamp is 7W (I asked customer service). The recommended bulb is Solhetta 450 lumens which is about the brightness of a 40W incandescent bulb (= dim). You can get a Solhetta 800 lumen bulb that's 5W which will be much brighter but I assume still safe because it's under 7W?
Like many in reviews, there were a few issues with installation. My handyman had to make a few adjustments but I don't remember exactly if it was missing parts or a fit issue. But he made it work.

Looks good but lacks general electrical info.MelodyThe light looks good but lacks the general electrical info commonly supplied with light fixtures. ie. Max. Bulb Wattage and Bulb Shape Code. This would be helpful and also a concern for safety. The E26 bulb that is recommended only supplies 450 lumens which is quite dim in a closet. Also, be prepared to get your own wire nuts to make the wiring connections since they are not included.

Missing installation hardware ValerieIt’s quite a surprise that a light fixture does not come with all the hardware needed for its installation. It is missing screws to hook up with the junction box and wear connectors. The light fixture looks nice though.

Love these lights!!CarrieI am a MCM enthusiast and moved into a builder grade home with boob lights everywhere. I convinced my husband to upgrade our hideous lights with these beauties. They're gorgeous and we love the upgrade. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with screws to mount to the ceiling. You must get your own screws or use the existing ones already used for previous lights. My problem was that many of the screws from the old lights were stripped. Having additional hardware would've been helpful. It took me about 30 minutes per light to install.

RIDICULOUS. I can say nothing of the function of the fixture because I can't install it.

Really happy with this fixtureCarolineI purchased this on a whim and am so happy I did! It looks great! Doesn’t give off a TON of light though but I am using it in a smaller corner hallway so it doesn’t need to be super bright. Would recommend buying it to light up a big space.

Fantastic light for the priceCarolineReplaced a chandelier fixture with this after removing a dining table. It was a little difficult to install due to the change in type of fixture, but that isn't the fault of this fixture. It does not include the screws to fix it to the box, but I had some spares. Gold part is metal, covering a plastic interior. Glass is clearly molded with some seams visible, but that is to be expected for the price and honestly blends with the ribbing well. The smoked glass seems less smoked than the picture, making the bulb a little bit more visible. Puts off a great amount of light with a 75 watt bulb (I keep it dimmed 90% of the time). Overall, would recommend and is easy for a DIYer to install on their own. I wish they had a slightly larger version with two bulbs as well as hardwired sconces.
Silk lint ceiling lampJuanLamp is okay. Installation was little difficult maybe because my house has an old light base I had to custom the lamp mounting holes.It looks nice. You will need a 60 w led lamp to make it brighter. The glass has a smoked tint.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
