My favorite dish towelsCarolinI have lots of these and love them. They are thinner than the average American dish towel, but are way more efficient in actually drying something off than the thicker ones. I gave 4 Stars because this color is boring and kind of outdated to me, they used to have really cool colors and designs - Bring those back!!!

Not a replacement for EllyStephanieI bought these hoping they’d be like the Elly towels I bought over 15 years ago, which I still have and they are still beautiful and going strong after daily use. Unfortunately, while Rinning looks nice, it doesn’t perform well and isn’t practical. It doesn’t dry dishes or my hands at all and it has an odd plastic feel to it. I suppose they could work to line bread baskets or cover raising dough, but I already have towels that will do all that and dry dishes(my beloved Tekla, Elly and honorable mention Hildegun). At this price point I don’t see their purpose when they don’t function as a towel other than at a decorative level. Maybe it’ll get better with more washes hopefully. Unfortunately returning is not a feasible option as the nearest IKEA store is over an hour away and not worth the gas or drive.
Not absorbent, very scratchy! MariahWould not recommend! If I had felt the material on these in store instead of just buying them online, I would definitely not have gotten them. They are extremely scratchy and rough, not soft at all, and they are completely non-absorbent. Overall pretty useless as a towel unless it is purely used for looks.
Beautiful, but not very absorbentLaurieI bought them for the deep red tones, and the colors are just what I wanted, but when it came to drying dishes, they didn't really absorb much. I'll keep them as accent pieces or something else.

DisappointingDaveI ordered these (online) because they looked similar to ones I used to have.
But - upon receiving them, I was extremely disappointed, they are so thin, and I seriously doubt their drying ability, but - I have not used them yet, so I can’t confirm or deny just how good they are at drying. The ones I refer to, the ones I used to have, were about 3 or 4 times the thickness, (yes, that is only a guesstimate), but I have 2 of those still, and upon comparison, even at around 10 years old, are considerably thicker than these new “tissues”!!
I was unable to see the quality before purchase, that’s one of the problems of having to buy online.
