It does the trick!HollyOne of the best things about this lid is the height and the size of the top vent holes! My old cover was shorter and the vent holes were more like pin holes. So, the moisture was trapped under the lid. I would highly recommend this product!

You have to pry it up from the bottom, which might be hard if you don't have long nails.
I also wish it had an increased height; some of my bowls brush the top of the underside of the dome.
Overall, an okay starting product, and you don't really have other options in Ikea for similar items.
It will still do the job of capturing splatter of foods when you microwave.
