They smell badMariaLike the others said, these pillows smell bad. I've used down pillows my whole life, my most recent ones before these were also from Ikea amd I used them for years with no issues. There is something wrong with these pillows. I bought them in May, its September now and they only smell worse.1
feathers poking through fabricKennethThe thread count on this fabric is 230. I only know that because the feathers were poking through, which is like some kind of Swedish torture device designed to keep you from sleeping. I looked at the other pillows I have from Ikea, which don't have this problem. Their thread count is just over 250. So, avoid feathers poking you like a satanic little nordic yard gnome in the middle of the night and make sure the thread count on your pillows is above 250. Sleep well2

Do not buy this. It is not actually a pillow.KateDo not buy this pillow it is not actually a pillow. It is fabric with a very thin layer of feathers in between. I am incredibly disappointed as the pillow that I had previously was really fantastic. This is absolute trash. I have tried to initiate the return process and even though I went through the “initiate return for an online order” process, it gave me the ticket in the end to take into the store. I don’t even live in a state that has an IKEA in it so that is not possible. There seems to be no other option to get in touch with actual customer service. I have gone around and around and it’s either AI help or frequently asked questions. Do not order this pillow. I don’t know if IKEA makes good pillows anymore. I’m guessing they don’t. Reading the other reviews is telling me that. I should’ve trusted the reviews that I read, but I really wanted another pillow like the one I had. They just discontinued that kind. I got scammed and it looks like I don’t have recourse to get refunded.1
Horrible, Unbearable SmellSarahThese came out of the package with an awful, unbearable smell that would stink up entire rooms of my home even with all of the windows open and fans running for days. Even left them outside in the sun/breeze for several days, no luck. Returned and got another pair thinking it may have been a bad batch…same problem. Sickening smell and will be taking this pair back as well. Not sure exactly how to describe the odor but it’s really terrible. Super unfortunate since I tried these pillows at someone’s home and loved them.1

How to care for your down/feather pillow

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather pillow and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the pillow separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 140°F. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer make drying mor efficient. Air your pillow regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
